With a height of 5'5" and a 36–23–36 figure, Dawn Richard made her mark as a model during the 1950s. She is an American of Caucasian ethnicity, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her average build and natural 34C bra cup size were part of her appeal as a centerfold for Playboy.

Richard posed for several other men's magazines during the Fifties. Her most prominent film role was as one of Pharaoh's daughters in 1956's The Ten Commandments, opposite Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner. In May 1957, she was named Playmate of the Month.
