Biography
About Danni Ashe
Danni Ashe was the most downloaded woman on the Internet, a title Guinness World Records awarded her in 2000 after confirming her image had been downloaded over a billion times. She was the first person in history to officially reach that milestone. Born in Beaufort, South Carolina, she started stripping at seventeen using a fake ID, never finishing high school. After about five years in Seattle clubs, she moved to Los Angeles and modeled for men's magazines and softcore videos. She later performed as an exotic dancer across the U.S. until an arrest in Jacksonville, Florida, for a topless dance in a non-nude club turned her against stripping for good.
In 1995, her husband showed her his company's website, and she decided to create her own. Reading HTML manuals on vacation, she built Danni.com in two weeks. The site launched in July 1995 and was an immediate success, overloaded servers just hours after she announced it. Within two years, Danni's Hard Drive was one of the busiest sites in the world, using more bandwidth than all of Central America. By 2001, the site had made $6.5 million in profit the previous year. In 2003, she ran a 16,000-square-foot studio in Los Angeles with 50 employees, and Arena Magazine ranked her fourth among the "50 Most Powerful People in Porn."
Ashe performed solo and in hardcore lesbian scenes, with partners including Chloe Vevrier and Ebony Ayes. She retired from modeling in 2005 and now works as a photographer and photo touch-up artist in Mesa, Arizona. She no longer goes by Danni Ashe and has had breast-reduction surgery. The business was sold to Penthouse Media Group in 2006 for $3 million, but her extensive archive still provides content to the site's members. She remains active on the site's message boards. She is 5'2" with blonde hair, blue eyes, natural breasts, and a slim build. She is American and bisexual.
