Biography
About Dakota Skye
Dakota Skye, born Lauren Kaye Scott on April 17, 1994, in Tampa, Florida, had a turbulent start in life. She moved to southern Ohio in her early teens to live with her father's family. She dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, but her path changed dramatically. At 18, she worked briefly as an overnight stocker at Walmart before starting as a webcam model. In 2013, she debuted in hardcore films under the stage names Dakota Skye and Kota Sky, inspired by Dakota Fanning and her blue eyes.
Over eight years, she performed in more than 300 films for studios like Mile High, Evil Angel, and Brazzers, and websites like BangBros and Mofos. Notable works include Meet Dakota Skye (2014), Young and Glamorous 6 (2014), and From Both Ends 2 (2014). She also modeled for Hustler and Penthouse. Her talent was recognized with several award nominations, including AVN Awards for Best New Starlet and Female Performer of the Year. She won the 2014 NightMoves Fan Award for Best Feature Showgirl and Spank Bank Awards in 2015 for Fucking Nerd of the Year and Most Adorable Slut.
Physically, Dakota was 5'0" with a slim build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. She had a flower tattoo on her left hip, a bird on her right shoulder, a sleeve on her left arm, and a half moon on her collarbone. She also had a right nostril piercing and a dermal below her left eye. Colleagues and fans remembered her fondly for her petite, natural look and cute smile. Sadly, Dakota passed away on June 9, 2021, at age 27, in Los Angeles. The medical examiner ruled her death an accident due to acute multidrug intoxication. Her brief but impactful career left a lasting impression on the adult film community.
