About Cristina Ferreira
Cristina Ferreira is a Portuguese business woman and TV host, known for her long career on Portuguese television. She was born on September 9th, 1977, in Malveira, in the Lisbon district. Her career began with a degree in History, and she worked as a secondary school teacher for two years before turning to television. She then studied Communication Sciences and took a television presentation degree at the Independent University in Lisbon, where she was taught by Manuel Luís Goucha and Júlia Pinheiro.
Her first direct TV appearances were in the diaries of Big Brother and the informative program Diário da Manhã, presented by Júlia Pinheiro. She became a household name co-hosting the morning talk show "Você na TV!" with Manuel Luís Goucha, which aired daily on TVI since 2004 and led audiences. In 2006 she competed in "Canta Por Mim," and in 2009 she made a cameo in the telenovela "Sentimentos." Together with Goucha, she presented the fourth season of "Uma Canção Para Ti" and the talent show "A Tua Cara Não Me É Estranha" in 2012 and 2013. In 2013 she debuted solo with "Dança Com as Estrelas," which initially struggled but became a national success.
From December 2013 until 2018, Cristina served as Director of Non-Informative Content at TVI while continuing to host. In August 2018, TVI announced it would not renew her contract, ending her 16-year tenure. She then moved to rival channel SIC, where from January 2019 to summer 2020 she hosted "O Programa da Cristina" and worked as Executive Consultant. In 2011 she was voted the sexiest woman in Portugal by Correio da Manhã. She has a son, Tiago, born in 2008. She is blonde with hazel eyes, stands 5'7", and has a slim build.
