Cristiana Capotondi

Italian actress Cristiana Capotondi has been working on screen since she was a child. She was born in Rome in 1980 and grew up in a family with both Catholic and Jewish roots. Her maternal grandfather was Jewish, and her household observed traditions from both faiths, celebrating holidays like Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah alongside Christian ones. She eventually studied communication sciences at Università La Sapienza in Rome.

Capotondi's first taste of fame came through a commercial for Maxibon Motta ice cream. She made her acting debut at age thirteen in the Italian TV series Amico mio, which aired on RAI. During the 1990s and early 2000s, she worked mostly in television, starring in the series Orgoglio from 2004 to 2006. Her big-screen breakthrough arrived in 2006 with Notte prima degli esami, where she shared the lead with Nicolas Vaporidis. A few years later, she took on the role of Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria in the TV production Sissi (2009), a co-production involving ZDF, Rai Uno, and ORF.

With more than three decades in the industry, she has remained a familiar face in Italian entertainment. Standing 5'5" with red hair and green eyes, she has a slim build and natural curves. She is straight and has no tattoos or piercings. Her Instagram following has grown to over 440,000. She continues to take on new projects and remains an active presence in film and television.
