She is best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the band Hole, which she formed in 1989 with Eric Erlandson. Hole became a popular act in the grunge scene, releasing albums like Pretty on the Inside (1991) and Live Through This (1994). She was married to Kurt Cobain, and their daughter is Frances Bean Cobain. Love has been active since 1981, starting around age 16.
