Biography
About Claudine Beccarie
French actress Claudine Beccarie rose to prominence in the 1970s as one of the most successful performers in French pornography. She was born in Creteil, France, on Thursday 14th of June 1945, and began her career in the industry around 1972, at age 27. Her first film, an 8 mm loop shot with Lasse Braun, was released in the Netherlands. In 1974, her first pornographic feature, "Amour aux trousses," appeared. Beccarie was often called "the French Linda Lovelace," and The New York Times described her as "one of France's most successful pornography performers." She remained active in the industry for a decade, until 1982.
Before entering porn, Beccarie worked as an exotic dancer. It was through Sylvia Bourdon that she met Lasse Braun, and together Beccarie and Bourdon came up with the concept for the 1973 film Cake Orgy, in which Beccarie starred. The film, which ended with her urinating on fellow cast members, was banned in the United States, leading to obscenity charges against distributor Reuben Sturman, who was later acquitted. In 1975, Beccarie starred in the documentary Exhibition, which contained staged hardcore scenes and helped her gain the title "first French porn star." The following year, she appeared as Claudine in the original Lèvres de sang and starred as Jennifer in the remake. Shortly after, she quit hardcore pornography, though she continued to appear in Nazi exploitation films into the 1980s.
Beccarie identified as sexually liberated. In a 1975 interview with Cinema X, she stated, "I'm not a lesbian. Nor bisexual. I believe in men. Sexually liberated is what I am!" She has a slim body, natural breasts, black hair, and brown eyes. She is Caucasian.
