Christina Applegate

Applegate first gained recognition as a child actress, starring as Kelly Bundy in the Fox sitcom Married... with Children. That breakout role led to a successful adult career across television, film, and stage. She won a Primetime Emmy Award and earned seven Emmy nominations, plus four Golden Globe nods and a Tony Award nomination. Her TV credits include the title role in Jesse, a guest spot on Friends, leads in Samantha Who? and Up All Night, and the Netflix dark tragicomedy Dead to Me. On Broadway, she starred in the revival of Sweet Charity. Her films include Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, The Big Hit, The Sweetest Thing, Grand Theft Parsons, the Anchorman movies, Hall Pass, Vacation, Bad Moms, and Crash Pad.

In August 2021, Applegate shared that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The news came months after the diagnosis. She remains a public figure with a strong social media presence. Her Instagram page has become a place where she connects with fans. Far from slowing her down, the diagnosis has added a new dimension to her public story. Perhaps that tenacity is why she continues to be a recognizable and respected name in Hollywood.
