With her slim figure, natural 34D bust, and classic brown hair and eyes, Christa Speck was a striking presence in early 1960s pin-up photography. Born in Danzig, West Prussia, Germany, she was selected as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for September 1961 and then named Playmate of the Year for 1962. Her centerfold was shot by Sam Wu and even appears in the 1978 film 'Animal House.' Speck was married to children's television producer Marty Krofft, and their daughter, Kristina, became an actress. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 70.
