Cheri Oteri

Oteri's path to comedy began after she moved to Los Angeles at age 25. She worked at A&M Records for four years before joining The Groundlings, a renowned comedy troupe. In 1995, SNL producers came to see a performance intending to audition Chris Kattan. Oteri performed a monologue during one of Kattan's costume changes, which caught the producers' attention and led to her own audition. She was hired that September as part of a nearly new cast brought in following a challenging previous season.

Throughout her career, Oteri has appeared in numerous films, including Scary Movie, Inspector Gadget, Liar Liar, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, Shrek the Third, and Southland Tales. On television, she starred in two pilots that never aired and made guest appearances on shows like Just Shoot Me!, Strangers with Candy, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, where she played Martine, an emotionally unstable nanny. She also lent her voice to the animated series Sit Down, Shut Up and acted in children's programming on Imagination Movers. Her versatility extends to web series and hosting gigs, and she has been an occasional guest on Jeff Lewis's talk radio show. Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, she is of Italian descent. She has 182k Instagram followers.
