About Charlotte Wingfield
Standing 5'10" with an athletic build, Charlotte Wingfield is an English-born sprinter who represents Malta. She switched her allegiance from Great Britain in 2015 to compete for Malta, her father's country of origin. Born in London on 30 November 1994, she has been active in athletics since 2009. She has competed at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics and the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she ran the 100 metres, finishing 8th in her heat. She did not qualify for the semifinals. That same year, she served as Malta's flag bearer during the closing ceremony. Competing for over 17 years, she continues to race on the international stage.
