Catherine Cohen

Born in New York City and raised in Houston, Texas, Cohen started studying musical theatre as a child. She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English, where she was a member of the Ivy Club and Kappa Alpha Theta. Moving back to New York, she trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Peoples Improv Theater, then began performing stand-up and sketch comedy around the city. Her comedy cabaret caught on quickly. In 2018, Vulture and Time Out named her one to watch. That same year, she launched two recurring shows: The Twist...? She's Gorgeous at Joe's Pub and Cabernet Cabaret at Club Cumming, both with pianist Henry Koperski. The Cut described her performances as "a spinning, glittery, Technicolor explosion."

Cohen also co-hosts a monthly comedy show called It's a Guy Thing with Patti Harrison and Mitra Jouhari. Her podcast Seek Treatment, co-hosted with Pat Regan, premiered on July 24, 2018. On screen, she has appeared in High Maintenance, Broad City, Search Party, and What We Do in the Shadows. In 2019, she was nominated for best comedian at the 11th Shorty Awards and won best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe. Her Netflix special, based on that Edinburgh show, followed in 2022. She is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent and, as of December 2022, is in a relationship with actor Brian Muller.
