About Cassandra Peterson
Cassandra Peterson became a household name as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, the wisecracking horror hostess she played on Los Angeles's KHJ-TV. Born September 17, 1951, in Manhattan, Kansas, she turned the gothic persona into a cultural touchstone. Under the black wig, she is a natural redhead. Her act mixed low-cut black gowns with a quick wit and Valley-girl drawl. She started in entertainment around age 18, and her career spans more than five decades. Peterson is also an actress, TikTok star, and YouTuber. She is American and openly bisexual. Slim and 5'7", she has real D-cup breasts. Her Instagram following has grown past 1.7 million, while her TikTok and YouTube audiences number in the hundreds of thousands. Even after Elvira, she remains active online, keeping her humor sharp.
