Carolina Ravassa

Carolina Ravassa stands out as a rare talent: a Colombian actress whose voice brings to life some of the most iconic characters in gaming. Best known as Sombra from Overwatch and Raze from Valorant, she also voices Carolina Grant-Gomez in the Disney Channel series Hamster & Gretel. Her journey began on stage, with her first role as Gretel in a local production of The Sound of Music. She went on to graduate from Boston College and the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

Ravassa's background is as diverse as her roles. She was born in Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, and spent her childhood split between Colombia and the United States. Her heritage is Colombian and Italian, and she grew up fluent in four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. That multilingual ability has surely served her well in voice acting. Off-camera, she produces and stars in the webseries Hispanglo-Saxon, a project that explores her life as a white Latina in New York. She is also a dancer, with a particular passion for salsa dancing.

Now 41, Ravassa has been active since 2009, which is over 17 years of performing. She maintains a slim build and natural curves, and her brown hair and brown eyes are as classic as her voice. Outside her projects, she has been good friends with fellow actress and voice actress Anjali Bhimani for over a decade. That friendship is just one example of the connections she has built in an industry where she has made a lasting impact.
