With her brown hair, green eyes, and a natural 36C figure, Carol Smillie is a familiar face from British television. Smillie's career began in the early 1980s when she left the Glasgow School of Art to pursue full-time modelling. Her portfolio covered fashion, runway, promotional, swimsuit, lingerie, and glamour modelling, including full nudity. She became a sought-after model across Scotland, the UK, and occasionally Europe. One photographer called her "one of the best and most professional models on the UK circuit in the 80s." During her glamour years, her breasts were a natural B cup, growing to D after childbirth, then settling at a C cup.

In 1989, she transitioned to television, co-hosting the UK version of Wheel of Fortune, then fronting Changing Rooms from 1996 to 2003.
