Carol Doda

American actress and exotic dancer Carol Doda was born on August 29, 1937, in Solano County, California. She became the first public topless dancer in the United States. Doda performed at the Condor Night Club in San Francisco's North Beach, where a large lit sign featured her picture. Her premiere topless dance occurred on June 19, 1964. The act began with a grand piano lowered from the ceiling, with Doda dancing on top. She was active as a dancer from the 1960s through the 1980s. Doda also appeared in films such as Head (1968), Machine Gun McCain (1969), and Honky Tonk Nights (1978). She stood 5'6" with blonde hair and brown eyes, and had an average body type. Carol Doda died on November 9, 2015, at the age of 78.
