Candy Jane

Candy Jane was an American actress, adult model, plus size model, musician, and porn star. Born on November 13, 1961, in Ventura, California, she began her career in the adult industry in 1986 and remained active until her death on May 6, 2016, at age 54. She was 5'5" tall, weighed 200 lbs, and had a BBW body type with natural 54H breasts and a distinctive tattoo around her navel and one on her left breast reading "Marty."

Her life story is remarkable. At 16, she gave up a music scholarship at USC to become an unwed mother, eventually relying on welfare. To support herself and her son, she turned to softcore modeling and sex work, appearing on over 150 magazine covers and in adult films. She also wrote a monthly advice column for Gent Magazine.

In the early 1980s, she became part of the punk rock scene in Hollywood, starting country punk bands and sharing stages with acts like Black Flag and Social Distortion. In 1986, she was signed to a developmental deal with CBS Records, but the label dropped her upon learning of her past. She moved to San Diego, studied Women's Studies, and discovered blues legends like Big Maybelle and Etta James. Her first album, Home Cookin, was released in 1992, and she recorded seven albums for labels including Ruf Records and Delta Groove. She faced pancreatic cancer in 2008, recovered, but it returned in 2014. She died in 2016 with her son and partner by her side.
