Biography
About Brooke Mills
American actress and model Brooke Mills brought a striking combination of red hair and green eyes to the screen during her nine-year career in Hollywood. Born Dolores Ann Williams on January 17, 1949, in St. Joseph, Missouri, she began acting in 1968, around age 19. Her natural C-cup figure, slim build, and pierced ears were features that set her apart, and her work spanned both film and television.
Mills made her film debut with an uncredited bit part as a model in Live a Little, Love a Little (1968). She is perhaps best remembered for her energetic role as Harrad, a heroin-addicted inmate, in the cult classic The Big Doll House (1971). She also appeared in the horror film Dream No Evil Blood Legacy (1971) as Grace MacDonald and played a photography teacher in The Student Teachers (1973). On the small screen, she had guest spots on shows such as The F.B.I., Night Gallery, The Mod Squad, Mission: Impossible, Marcus Welby, M.D., Barbary Coast, and Police Story.
Beyond her acting, Mills posed for renowned glamour photographer Peter Gowland, and some of those images appeared in the Playboy publication Eve Today. She was also photographed by Frank Bez, whose shots ran in a 1972 issue of Penthouse magazine. Mills retired from acting in 1977.
