Brigitte Maier

Brigitte Maier was among the most prominent German porn stars of the 1970s, a decade that reshaped adult cinema. Her career began in 1967, when she was just fifteen, and lasted eleven years. Working under European director Lasse Braun, she pushed creative boundaries both in films and in modeling for men's magazines. This happened at a time when anti-pornography laws were being challenged and changed. Maier was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, but moved to Chicago at age four. Her conservative, middle-class family enrolled her in a Catholic all-girls school. She was determined to escape that mundane life. At fifteen, she made her first movie, 'The Margin.' She was a natural redhead with blue eyes, stood 5'8", and had an average build. Her performances included solo work, as well as boy-girl scenes covering a range of acts.
