Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Bobbie Phillips is an American actress, fitness model, and former trainer who spent over two decades in front of the camera. She moved to Hollywood in 1990 and started in television, with her first gig opposite Halle Berry on the sci-fi comedy They Came from Outer Space. That early break led to a string of roles, but it was her athletic ability that set her apart. Phillips is a trained martial artist and did most of her own fighting and stunt work, which served her well in action-oriented parts. She also became a sought-after fitness and swimsuit model, and Joe Weider, the Canadian bodybuilding pioneer, put her under contract.
Her career ranged from small-screen hits to cult films. She played the dual role of Talon and Hannah Foster on The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, making history as the first woman to play the Crow on screen. She landed a studio contract with Paramount Pictures after the success of Chameleon, which spawned two sequels. Phillips also won a People's Choice Award for Murder One and earned praise from Variety for her role as Julie Costello. She appeared on popular shows like The X-Files, Stargate SG-1, Baywatch, and Married... with Children. Before acting professionally, Phillips starred in musicals as a child at the Dock Street Theater in her hometown. She later had a small role in the film Showgirls and worked across comedies, dramas, and indie features. She retired in 2003 after Last Flight Out, then returned to acting in 2014, appearing in several independent films released in 2015 and 2016. Her body of work reflects a career that balanced action, drama, and comedy. She retired from acting in 2016.
