About Bhavana Ramanna
Bhavana Ramanna is an Indian actress and cultural and specialty dancer known for her work in the Kannada film industry. Born in Agumbe Shimoga Distt, Karnataka, India, she began her career in 1996 at around twelve years old. Over three decades, she has become a recognized face in regional cinema, earning three Karnataka State Film Awards for her performances. Bhavana is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, a discipline she studied for nearly ten years. She initially aspired to be a stage choreographer, but acting came by chance. She was discovered by director Krishnappa Uppur, who saw her at a wedding and cast her in the Tulu film Maribele. Though that film did not do well, it opened doors in Kannada cinema. She went on to star in romance-drama Nee Mudida Mallige, the musical hit Chandramukhi Pranasakhi, and Rashtrageethe, where she played a vampish role. Later, director Dinesh Babu offered her a leading role in Deepavali, and she made guest appearances in Parva and Ninagagi. Her most notable achievement is acting in Shanti, a film that entered the Guinness Book of Records for having the fewest actors in a narrative film, as she was the sole performer. Beyond acting, Bhavana directs HomeTown Productions, a production house that organizes dance and music shows. Standing at 5'4" with black hair and brown eyes, she has a natural, average physique with measurements of 35-29-37. She remains active in the industry, balancing her work as an actress, dancer, and entrepreneur.
