Biography

About Betty Blue

Edited by the community

Betty Blue was an American model and actress, best remembered as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for November 1956. Her centerfold was photographed by Hal Adams. She worked as a showgirl at the El Rancho Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas before her Playmate appearance, and she described herself as a nudist. Betty posed for other men's magazines both before and after joining the Playboy family, and she continued to do nude photo shoots for Playboy, usually anonymously.

Born on August 14, 1931, in West Memphis, Arkansas, she had brown hair and brown eyes, stood 5'3" with a petite frame, and maintained a slim body type with measurements of 39–22–36. Her acting career was limited, mostly to TV commercials and some B-movies. From 1957 to 1963, Betty was married to producer and director Harold Lime; they remarried in 1991.

Betty Blue passed away from heart failure on August 23, 2000, at the age of 69. Her ashes were sprinkled on the grounds of the Playboy Mansion. A topless photo of her from the mid-1990s appears in The Playmate Book.
