About Bettina Zimmermann
German actress and model Bettina Zimmermann was born on 31 March 1975 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. She grew up as the youngest of three siblings in Burgwedel, attending the Realschule Burgwedel and graduating from the Leibnizschule in Hanover in 1994. During private acting training in Hamburg, she worked as a model, and her early career included commercials for Vodafone, Lycos, and WMF before her first cinema role in Fisimatenten in 1998.
Zimmermann has since appeared in a wide range of German film and television productions, working for private broadcasters like RTL and Sat.1 as well as public stations such as ZDF. Notable credits include the historical film The Indomitable Heart, the children's series Dandelion, Moonlight Tariff, Erkan & Stefan vs. the Powers of Darkness, The Airlift, and the multi-award-winning 2030 – Uprising of the Old and its sequel 2030 – Uprising of the Young. She also appeared in Crimes after Ferdinand von Schirach. With her partner, actor Kai Wiesinger, she starred in the web series Der Lack ist ab from 2015 to 2018, and the pair played Hanna and Tom in Vodafone commercials for several years. More recently, she appeared in the Paramount+ series Kohlrabenschwarz. Since 2015, she has played prosecutor Claudia Strauss in the crime series Ein Fall für Zwei.
Beyond live-action roles, Zimmermann is known for voice acting, including lending her voice to Sally in Pixar's Cars. She has two children: a son born in 2008 from a previous relationship with cameraman Vladimir Subotic, and a child born in 2015 with current partner Kai Wiesinger.
