Betsy Weiss

Betsy Weiss, 68, is an American singer who has been performing since 1980, a career spanning 46 years. Born in Brigantine, New Jersey, she moved to Los Angeles at age ten. Her early singing talent surfaced in her school glee club, and she eventually became the lead vocalist for the BoxBoys, an L.A. ska band, and worked with the local metal outfit WITCH.

She joined the band Bitch after answering an ad in Music Connection placed by founders Robby Settles and David Carruth. They had initially sought a female guitarist and a male singer, but embraced the idea of a female-fronted Bitch. Under the stage name Betsy Bitch, she led the band as a staple of the L.A. heavy metal scene, playing across the Sunset Strip and beyond. West Coast upstart metal bands like Metallica and Slayer opened for them. Bitch holds the distinction of being the first female-fronted American heavy metal band to sign with a label, Metal Blade Records.

Weiss stands 5'3" with an athletic build, blonde hair, and green eyes. Her measurements are 34-23-34, and she has a navel piercing along with various tattoos. She has appeared in full nudity in her work. She remains active in music today.
