Belle first came to prominence with her homemade costumes, which she crafted and wore with precision from her earliest days. Her first convention costume was Rogue from X-Men, styled after Anna Paquin, worn at DragonCon in 2006, and it remains her favorite. Yet her most popular creation is her 1990s-style Catwoman costume, designed after Jim Balent's artwork. That costume once caused a traffic jam during a rooftop photoshoot. Her skill earned her multiple competition wins: 3rd place in DragonCon's Dawn Look-A-Like Contest in 2007, 1st place in 2008, Best Warrior Woman as Red Sonja in 2009, Best Likeness to Character as Spider-Woman at NYCC in 2009, Grand Prize in Dark Horse Comics' 'I Love Comics' Contest in 2010, and 2nd place as Jessica Rabbit at SuperMegaFest in 2010.

In her personal life, Belle has been open about boundaries and change. In 2011 she declined to do topless or nude photos out of respect for her husband's wishes, though bodypaint remained an option. Then in July 2014, after growing tired of people telling her how lucky her husband was, she revealed on Tumblr that she had been divorced for a year and a half. She has always wished for her fans to regard her as a friend rather than a sexual possibility. Her Instagram following grew to 18 thousand by mid-2026. She stands 5'8", weighs 150 pounds, and has an average build with natural breasts. Her eyes are blue, her hair brown. She holds a 40G bra size. She remains a distinct figure in cosplay history.
