About Barbara Paz
Barbara Paz is a Brazilian actress, director, producer, and Playboy model. She was born in Campo Bom, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, Brazil. At the age of six, she lost her father, a local politician, which forced her family into financial hardship. She started working at nine, selling painted plaster sculptures in the town square to help buy medicine for her ill mother. As a teenager, she worked in a shoe factory for two months, then in a boutique for two years, and later at an advertising agency, where she did her first modeling jobs.
After her mother's death in May 1992, Barbara moved to São Paulo with friends. She worked as a secretary at a university and took acting courses at the Macunaíma Theater School. She also pursued modeling, appearing in magazines and fashion editorials. In December of that year, she was in a serious car accident on Christmas Day, resulting in facial trauma that required 400 stitches. The scars led her to abandon modeling temporarily, but she later resumed her career. She studied theater at the Antunes Filho Theater Research Center and joined the group Parlapatões.
Barbara has been active in the entertainment industry since 1997. She is known for her work in film and television, both in front of and behind the camera.
