About Bambi Woods
At 6'0" tall with a slim build, blonde hair, and hazel eyes, Bambi Woods is one of the most recognizable figures from the golden age of adult film. Born on July 12, 1955, in Pierre, South Dakota, she is an American of Caucasian ethnicity. Her career ran from 1978 to 1985, roughly seven years, during which she performed in solo and partnered scenes, including masturbation, blowjob, and vaginal acts. She had enhanced breasts and no tattoos or piercings.
Woods is best known for starring as the title character in the 1978 film Debbie Does Dallas. She was promoted as a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, though that was not true. Her filmography is short, including the 1981 and 1985 sequels to Debbie Does Dallas, as well as Swedish Erotica 12 from 1981. In 1998, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
After leaving the industry, Woods largely disappeared from public view. Her whereabouts and fate have been the subject of debate for decades. Some sources claim she died of a drug overdose in 1986, as reported by The Age. Others say she left porn to become a homemaker and mother, possibly in the Des Moines, Iowa, area. A 2005 Channel 4 documentary, Debbie Does Dallas Uncovered, hired a private investigator to find her, but he was unsuccessful. He did receive a letter, supposedly from Woods, saying she left the industry due to the drug abuse she witnessed. In 2007, she reportedly gave an online interview to YesButNoYes.com, discussing her anonymity and her brief career. Bambi Woods remains a notable icon of that era.

One report says she died from a drug overdose in 1986, while another claims she left the industry to become a housewife and mother, possibly in the Des Moines, Iowa area.
