Bai Ling

Bai Ling is an actress whose career spans over four decades, beginning in the early 1980s. She is known for a wide range of film roles, from The Crow and Nixon to Crank: High Voltage and Dumplings, as well as television appearances on Entourage and Lost. In 2004, she won Best Supporting Actress awards at both the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Golden Horse Awards for her role in Dumplings. She is also a glamour model, influencer, and musician, and she has appeared in full nudity in some of her work.

Born in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, Bai Ling is of Chinese and American nationality and Asian ethnicity. She is 5'2" tall with a slim build, and she has black hair and brown eyes. Bai Ling's family background is notable. Her father was a musician in the People's Liberation Army and later a music teacher, while her mother was a dancer, stage actress, and literature teacher. Her maternal grandfather was a military officer in the Kuomintang army, and was persecuted during the Cultural Revolution. Her parents divorced in the early 1980s, and her mother later married the writer Xu Chi. Bai Ling has an older sister who works for the Chinese tax bureau and a younger brother who emigrated to Japan.
