Azealia Banks is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter known for her bold personality and genre-blending music. Born on 31st May 1991 in Manhattan, New York City, she grew up in the Harlem neighborhood. Banks began releasing music through Myspace in 2008, and at age 18 she was signed to XL Recordings. Her breakout single "212" was named one of the best songs of 2011 by Rolling Stone and Billboard, and has since been considered a defining track of the decade. She is 5'3" with a slim build, black hair, brown eyes, and measurements of 36–24–35. She has enhanced breasts and has posed for Playboy, appearing nude in the April 2015 issue.
After leaving XL Records, Banks signed with Interscope and Polydor before separating in 2013. She then became independent, founding her own label, Chaos & Glory Recordings.
