Ayesha Hussain

Ayesha Hussain is a New Zealander actress and stuntwoman of Asian ethnicity, standing 5'6" with ear and nipple piercings. As one of the first stunt performers of South Asian / MENA heritage, she has broken barriers in the action world. She has appeared in Gladiator II and Doctor Who, and made history as the first South Asian X-man, playing Psylocke in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Beyond film, her skills are in demand across creative industries. She has thrown knives at Harry Styles, walked the Miu Miu runway with a sword, and performed martial arts at the Victoria & Albert Museum for a Venice Biennale piece. She has been invited to speak on panels for the British Film Institute, Asics, Canon, Soho House, and L'Oréal, and has been interviewed by the BBC and Vogue India. A two-time SAG Stunt Award nominee, she continues to challenge expectations.
