Ashley Olsen

American actress and fashion designer Ashley Olsen was born on Friday, 13th of June 1986, in Los Angeles, California. She began her acting career at just nine months old, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner with her twin sister Mary-Kate in the sitcom Full House, which ran from 1987 to 1995. The twins went on to star together in numerous films and TV productions throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, including Passport to Paris, Our Lips Are Sealed, and New York Minute, their final joint film in 2004. Their production company, Dualstar Entertainment Group, was founded in 1993 and produced many of these projects.

After retiring from acting in 2012, Olsen shifted her focus to fashion. She co-founded the luxury brand The Row, the lifestyle label Elizabeth and James, and the more affordable lines Olsenboye and StyleMint. She and her sister also co-authored a book, Influence, which features interviews with fashion designers who inspired their work. They are both members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. In 2005, Olsen filed a $40 million lawsuit against the National Enquirer over a drug scandal depiction; the tabloid later apologized.

Olsen is of French, German, Italian, and Norwegian descent. She has a younger sister, actress Elizabeth Olsen. At 5'1" with a slim build and blonde hair and blue eyes, she stands out in the fashion world. Her career spans 17 years, a period that saw her evolve from child star to businesswoman.
