Biography
About Ashanti Wilson
Ashanti Wilson profiles as Maya World, a name that now echoes through All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Ring of Honor (ROH). She first stepped into the ring in 2022, just shy of her twentieth birthday. At 5'4" and 150 pounds with a chubby build, she stands out in a division that often favors leaner frames. Her natural 34C bust and 36–27–39 measurements tell part of the story; her 0.69 waist-to-hip ratio hints at a powerful base. Born in Greenville, Texas, on July 26, 2002, she carries her American and Black identity into every match. Four years into her career, she has already earned a following of 25,000 on Instagram, where fans track her journey. Brown eyes and black hair complete a look that blends strength and approachability. She wrestles both solo and in tag team bouts, though her roster responsibilities keep her schedule demanding. Her ring name may be Maya World, but her home state roots stay close.
When she isn't competing, Ashanti maintains an active social presence, sharing training clips and behind-the-scenes moments. She started wrestling at 19, a relatively late entry for a sport where many begin as teenagers. Still, her rapid rise suggests natural aptitude. She favors high-impact moves that use her mass advantage. Fans often note her surprising agility for her size. She also trains in submission holds, a technique she debuted in 2023. Beyond the ring, she advocates for body positivity in wrestling, celebrating her natural curves as an asset. Her chubby physique, far from a liability, has become a signature. She aims to win a championship within the next two years, a goal she has stated in interviews. Her latest match, a hard-fought loss to a veteran, drew praise from commentators. She shows no signs of slowing down.
