Arline Pretty was an American actress who appeared in films from 1913 to 1935. She started her career on stage, performing in everything from juvenile leads to Shakespeare, before making her film debut in 1913. She freelanced for different studios and worked in all genres, but found her niche in serials for Vitagraph and Pathe. Her career declined with the advent of sound films, and she later did many unbilled extra roles, often at MGM. Despite this, she had invested her earnings wisely during her peak years, so she worked by choice, not necessity. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had red hair, blue eyes, and a slim build. She stands 5'5" tall. She passed away in 1978 at the age of 92.
