Antonella Clerici

Born in Legnano, Lombardy, on December 6, 1962, she began her career in 1985 as a TV announcer for Telereporter. Two years later she moved to Rai 2, presenting programs such as Semaforo giallo, Oggi sport, Dribbling, and Domenica Sprint. She also fronted Ristorante Italia and Segreti per voi, before hosting Forza Italia on Odeon TV alongside Fabio Fazio and Walter Zenga. Returning to Rai 2 in 1995, she presented Telegoal and then co-hosted Unomattina from 1996 to 1998, covering the 1998 FIFA World Cup with Occhio al mondiale.

In 1999, she switched to Mediaset where she hosted Ma quanto costa? on Retequattro, Telegatti Story, and the morning show A tu per tu on Canale 5. Returning to RAI in 2000, she began presenting La prova del cuoco, the Italian version of Ready Steady Cook, which she hosted until 2008 when she left to care for her first child. Her career also included Domenica in, Adesso sposami, Il ristorante, Il treno dei desideri, Affari tuoi, Ti lascio una canzone, and Tutti pazzi per la tele. In 2005 she co-hosted the Festival di Sanremo with Paolo Bonolis, and returned as solo host in 2010. In March 2010 she released a self-titled music album featuring television themes, and she has published several cookbooks. Since September 2011, she has again presented her most popular show, La prova del cuoco.
