About Annie (Singer)
Norwegian musician Annie first came to attention in 1999 with the underground hit single "The Greatest Hit." Born in Trondheim, Norway, she began DJing in Bergen after secondary school, where she met house producer Tore Kroknes. Together they released "The Greatest Hit," which sold out in two days and became popular in Norwegian and British nightclubs. Tragedy struck in 2001 when Kroknes died of a congenital heart defect, before they could release an album.
Annie signed with Britain's 679 Recordings in 2003 and released her debut album, Anniemal, in 2004. The album earned widespread critical acclaim, particularly among music bloggers, and won several Norwegian music awards. Her second studio album, Don't Stop, followed in 2009 on the Smalltown Supersound label. Alongside her solo work, Annie has worked as a record producer and DJ.
She is 48 years old, with blonde hair and a slim build. Annie now lives in Berlin.
