About Annette Haven
Annette Haven is a former actress, adult model, and porn star. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 1, 1954, and is American. Standing 5'4" with a slim build, brown hair, and hazel eyes, she became one of the most important figures of the adult industry's Golden Age. Active from 1973 to 1989, she posed for 173 covers, 13 photosets, and 160 videos before retiring. Porn historian Bill Margold called her the first great beauty to do adult movies, noting that she looked like a mainstream movie star and gave porn a polished appeal. She starred in classics like Barbara Broadcast, 'V': The Hot One, and A Thousand and One Erotic Nights, which were more plot-driven and required more acting ability. Her filmography includes hardcore scenes with John Holmes and Sean Michaels, both vaginal.
Haven was raised in a Mormon family. After her marriage dissolved, she moved to San Francisco, the capital of the Golden Age on the West Coast, and began stripping. There she met Bonnie Holiday, an early star in loop porn movies, who helped her enter the industry. They became lovers and entered a three-way relationship with Holiday's husband. That relationship ended after three years when Holiday grew jealous of Haven's success and of the plan to continue without her. She felt her later movies paled compared to the plot-heavy films of the 1970s and bemoaned that porn died with the VHS tape. Haven is a member of the AVN and XRCO Hall of Fame.
