Anna Khachiyan

Alongside actress Dasha Nekrasova, she co-hosts the Red Scare podcast, which began on March 29, 2018. The show blends comedy and serious analysis, covering American culture and politics. It has been linked to the dirtbag left, the new right, and the Dimes Square subculture in New York City. Her thinking is influenced by thinkers like Christopher Lasch, Camille Paglia, Mark Fisher, and Michel Houellebecq. She has critiqued neoliberalism and feminism, drawing on these intellectual foundations.

Khachiyan has also ventured into acting. In 2020, she played a doppelgänger of Ghislaine Maxwell in the independent horror film The Scary of Sixty-First, directed by Nekrasova. Her influence extends to pop culture; in a 2021 New York Times interview, Sydney Sweeney cited Khachiyan as inspiration for her "mean girl" role in The White Lotus. In September 2023, Khachiyan participated in a public debate titled "Has the Sexual Revolution Failed?" co-sponsored by The Free Press and FIRE, arguing alongside Louise Perry against Sarah Haider and Grimes. She is of Armenian Jewish and Russian descent and is in a relationship with percussionist and visual artist Eli Keszler, with whom she has a child. At 40, she stands 5'4" with a slim build, and her brown hair and eyes are often noted. She has no tattoos but has both ears pierced. Her Instagram following is 72k.
