Anna Chapman

After meeting Alex Chapman at a London rave in 2001, she married him and acquired British citizenship, which she used to move to the United States. In 2009, she settled in New York, working as CEO of PropertyFinder LLC. On 27 June 2010, the FBI arrested her on charges of conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government. She pleaded guilty and was deported to Russia on 8 July 2010 as part of a prisoner swap between the United States and Russia. The UK revoked her British citizenship, barring her from returning.

Back in Russia, Chapman transitioned into public life. She hosted the TV show Secrets of the World for REN TV, wrote columns for Komsomolskaya Pravda, and served as editor of Venture Business News magazine. She also worked as a model, appearing on the cover of Russian Maxim and walking runways at Moscow Fashion Week and Dosso Dossi in Antalya. Her Instagram following has grown to 522k, where she shares her political views. Chapman also visited Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, expressing admiration for Armenian family values and calling her best friends Armenians. Despite controversies, including accusations of plagiarism and heckling at a university speech, she remains a recognizable media personality in Russia.
