Andrea Parker

Andrea Parker, born on March 8, 1970, in Monterey County, California, trained as a ballet dancer from age six and joined a professional company at fifteen. After three years of touring, she left ballet and worked as a bartender while studying acting. Her first film role came at nineteen in Rented Lips. She broke into television with a speaking role in the Seinfeld episode 'The Contest' in 1992, followed by guest spots on shows like ER and JAG. She also served as a body double for Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, and her legs appear in the opening scene.

Parker earned a cult following as Miss Parker on The Pretender, a role she felt compelled to play because her name was 'all over the script.' She also played Catherine Parker, Miss Parker's mother, a contrasting role. After The Pretender ended, she reprised Miss Parker in two telemovies, then starred as Lydia Weston in the ABC comedy Less Than Perfect from 2002 to 2006.
