Amy Guy

Amy's early life was marked by athletic promise. She attended Yale College, Wrexham, and Ysgol Rhiwabon, and became the Welsh Schools National 100m and 300m Hurdling Champion. She later graduated from Nottingham University with an architecture degree, but her competitive drive led her elsewhere. In 2004 she won the Miss Wales pageant, and at Miss World 2004 she earned the Miss Sport award, which automatically advanced her to the top 15 semi-finalists. She then took the title of Miss United Kingdom in 2005. Her television work includes appearing as a new Gladiator named Siren in the revived series of Gladiators.

Beyond pageants, Amy has represented Wales on five consecutive occasions in horse riding and was a member of the Great British Team. She has been an ambassador for British Show Jumping, supporting their drive for medals through 2012 and beyond. In 2009 she added polo to her sporting repertoire, competing in charity matches such as the Asprey World Class Cup day in July 2010 at Hurtwood Park. Since 2009 she has been the female face of Polistas, a leading clothing and lifestyle brand on the polo circuit, collaborating on a full ladies' range from polo shirts to handbags. She currently competes in modern pentathlon and has run marathons around the world in Asia, America, and Europe.
