Amy Dumas

Before wrestling, Dumas had a varied path. She studied education at Georgia State University and was an accomplished swimmer who also practiced judo. She played bass guitar in a band called 3 Card Trick and worked as a roadie for the band Fifteen for five years. Her interest in wrestling was sparked after watching Rey Mysterio Jr. on WCW Monday Nitro. She traveled to Mexico in 1998 to train, financing her lessons by dancing under the pseudonym Misty. After returning to the U.S., she worked on the independent circuit, managing wrestlers like Christopher Daniels, before signing with WWE in 1999.

Dumas's personal life often intersected with her career. She dated Matt Hardy starting in 2000, but in 2005 it was revealed she had an affair with Adam 'Edge' Copeland, leading to a real-life feud that WWE turned into a storyline. She retired from wrestling in 2006. That same year, she formed the punk rock band The Luchagors with her then-boyfriend Shane Morton. The band released an album in 2007. She wrote an autobiography, 'Lita: A Less Traveled R.O.A.D.', which became a New York Times bestseller. She also appeared on TV shows like Fear Factor and The Weakest Link. Dumas is an animal lover and founded the charity A.D.O.R.E. in 2003. She has brown hair, brown eyes, an athletic body type, and stands 5'7" tall. She has a three-eyed green demon tattoo on her right shoulder, the word 'rebel' in Russian on her neck, the word 'punk' on her lower lip, and skulls down her left arm.
