About Amber Tamblyn
Amber Rose Tamblyn was born on May 14, 1983, in Santa Monica, California. She caught an agent's eye at age ten after a performance in "Pippi Longstocking," and soon landed roles in Live Nude Girls (1995) and Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard (1997). She is perhaps best known for originating the role of Emily Bowen-Quartermaine on the soap General Hospital. She is the daughter of actor Russ Tamblyn and artist Bonnie Tamblyn.
Beyond acting, Amber writes poetry, with work published in the San Francisco magazines "Cups" and "Poetry USA." She also enjoys singing and theater, and she is an American musician. Now 43, she has spent more than three decades in the industry, beginning her career around age twelve.
