Amber Deluca

Her athletic career started early. Amber earned a volleyball scholarship to Gannon University, where she helped lead the team to their first national appearance and still holds the all-time kills record. She graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/English. While at Gannon, she trained in arm wrestling under Dann Carr, the creator of American Gladiators, and won the Pennsylvania State Arm Wrestling Championship. After enlisting in the United States Air Force, she served a tour overseas for Operation Southern Watch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the first Gulf War. She was named Air Combat Command Athlete of the Year in 1992 and led the Air Force to two World Military Championships in arm wrestling. Amber also taught rock and sport climbing at Cannon AFB. She completed a Master's in Human Resources Management before her honorable discharge in 1994.

In 1996, Dann Carr invited her to star as one of the American Gladiators in Orlando, Florida, where she briefly appeared as "Apache." Her gladiator career ended quickly due to an anterior cruciate ligament tear, and she returned to New Mexico. She worked as a Security Administrator for the Mescalero Apache Tribe from 1995 to 1998, then became a Human Resources Specialist for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, specializing in recruitment and placement, before resigning in 2006 to pursue a graduate degree in Educational Leadership at the University of New Mexico.

Amber won her first figure competition, the National Amateur Bodybuilding Association Ms. Figure America, in Phoenix in 2001, and competed in Ms. Universe in 2002. That same year, photographer Bill Dobbins encouraged her to try bodybuilding, and she later appeared in his book Modern Amazons. She won the NPC Mid-USA heavyweight class in 2003, placed 13th at NPC Nationals in 2005, won the Excalibur in 2005, and competed in her last show in 2007. She also trained in the Netherlands with professional bodybuilder Saskia Salemink and strongman Mark Phillipi, earned her Russian Kettlebell certification, and in 2011 won the New Hampshire State Strongwoman show after being discovered overhead pressing 185 pounds. She placed 4th in the heavyweight division at America's Strongest Woman. In 2003, she launched her first website, buffmuff.com, and two years later created the "Amber Steel" persona, rebranding to Goddess of Fetish. She continues to perform under this persona today. She is bisexual and has tattoos including a Goddess on the back of her neck and an Elf on her upper left hip.
