Mack's acting career spanned from 1989 to 2016, during which she appeared in various television roles. She is best known for playing Chloe Sullivan on the WB/CW series Smallville and Amanda on the FX series Wilfred. Her work on Smallville led her to reside in Vancouver, where she had a long-term relationship with Canadian actor Chad Krowchuk. In February 2017, she married Canadian actress Nicki Clyne, though the marriage was later alleged to be a sham related to immigration and was only made public during legal proceedings.

In April 2018, Mack was arrested by the FBI on charges related to her involvement with the NXIVM organization, including sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy. She pleaded guilty to racketeering charges in April 2019 and was released early on July 3, 2023, after serving 21 months of her three-year sentence. She and Clyne were both sexual partners with NXIVM founder Keith Raniere. Mack filed for divorce from Clyne in December 2020.
