Alicia Keys

Keys' debut album, Songs in A Minor, sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, making her the best-selling new artist and best-selling R&B artist of 2001. It earned her five Grammy Awards in 2002, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for "Fallin'". Her follow-up, The Diary of Alicia Keys, released in 2003, sold eight million copies and brought four more Grammys in 2005. Later that year, her live album Unplugged became the first by a female artist to debut at number one, a feat not seen since Nirvana in 1994.

Her acting career includes a film debut in Smokin' Aces, followed by roles in The Nanny Diaries and The Secret Life of Bees, the latter earning an NAACP Image Award nomination. Her third studio album, As I Am, sold six million copies and added three more Grammys. With The Element of Freedom in 2009, she achieved her first number one album in the UK. Over her career, she has sold over 35 million albums and 30 million singles, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time. Billboard named her the top R&B artist of the 2000–2009 decade, and in 2010 VH1 included her on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. She also ranks number ten on Billboard's Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Artists of the Past 25 Years. As of now, she has 27.6 million Instagram followers and over 6.63 million YouTube subscribers.
