Biography
About Alexa Blair Robertson
With her blonde hair and 5'5" frame, Alexa Blair Robertson carries a presence that turns heads on stage and screen alike. She is an American actress, artist, exotic dancer, and model originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, born on Friday the 19th of May 2000. At 26, she has already built an impressive resume, joining the Knicks City Dancers in 2022 and appearing in the film One Summer, released in fall 2021, along with several other small TV and film roles.
Her path to the spotlight was far from easy. At age four, she was diagnosed with a stage four Wilms' tumor, a rare kidney cancer, and given only an 11% chance of survival. Rushed into surgery, she endured multiple years of treatment before finally being declared cancer-free. Once well enough, she returned to dancing, honing her skills over time. In 2015, she was one of eight dancers chosen to perform with Janet Jackson during the Raleigh stop of the singer's world tour. She continued dancing through high school and college, eventually becoming a full-time professional dancer.
Balancing her performance career with academics, she graduated from Duke University with a major in biology and minors in both chemistry and dance. She received an academic excellence award in science in high school. She also volunteered in special education and taught dance to children during college. She hopes one day to become a pediatric surgeon. She has performed alongside artists such as Hailee Steinfeld and Jordan Fisher. Family remains important to her; she grew up in Raleigh with her parents and two sisters.
