Akira Lane

Akira Lane began her adult career late and by accident. In 2000, on a dare and slightly intoxicated by tequila, she posed nude for a male friend who posted the pictures online. A modeling agency saw them and offered to represent her. She decided the money was better than her current job and started adult modeling, eventually springing into the spotlight with the 2002 issues of Playboy (June) and Sexual Prime (December).

Born in Okinawa, Japan, she moved to Norfolk, Virginia, in 2000 to attend Old Dominion University. She vacationed in California and later moved to San Diego, where she worked at a local plastic distributor. After being accepted into San Diego State University, she earned a B.A. in International Business. She then sold financial programs to automobile dealerships and repossessed cars. Around 2000, she grew tired of that job and moved to California's Orange County, where she became a computer application sales representative.
