Akiko Wakabayashi

Akiko Wakabayashi is best known as Bond Girl "Aki" in the fifth James Bond film, You Only Live Twice (1967). Born in Ōmori-ku, Tokyo, she entered acting at a time when few Japanese actresses crossed over to international productions. Her role as the sharp, resourceful Aki made her one of the most memorable figures in the Bond series, even though she appeared in only one installment.
