About Airi and Meiri
Japanese duo Airi and Meiri came out of Tokyo, born on March 31, 1985, and began their entertainment careers in 2004. Their presentation was based on Japanese double singing idols, a concept where two singers with similar appearance and actions appear together. They were a gravure idol and AV idol duo, and they started their AV career as a duo on the KMP Million label, appearing in a number of adult videos for KMP and Real Works studios in 2005 and 2006. Airi had previously made her AV debut under the alias Risako Nakahara with the July 2004 ONE release Spoilt Younger Sister: Risako Nakahara & Rimi Tokino. The two were active for about two years.
In addition to their video work, they released a maxi-single titled Double Fantasia through Sexual Kiss Records on April 26, 2006. To promote it, they performed at a live event by the label on October 30, 2005, in Shibuya. They also appeared at the August 2006 "AV SUPER STAR LIVE Beauty Bambie Night" event, which featured several other AV actresses who had recently debuted on CD. The show took place at the Shibuya O-Crest and included music by Matsushima Cross and his band CAMPAKEX, as well as director Dragon Nishikawa's band CUMSHOTS.
