About Adriana Bombom
Adriana Bombom's path to fame began far from the spotlight. She spent part of her childhood in an orphanage and later worked as a nanny and a saleslady before television came calling. In 1996, she joined the TV show Xuxa Park, where she appeared in the sketch comedy "Academia de ginástica da Xuxa." She then danced on Planeta Xuxa, playing a secondary but visible role that helped the host counter criticism about the lack of Black artists on her show. During that time, Bombom released a single with two songs she sang during breaks: "Dança da Bombom" and "Bom Apetite."
Her television career spans multiple networks and formats. On Rede Globo, she appeared in A Turma do Didi, Zorra Total, and Sob Nova Direção. For Rede Bandeirantes, she reported for shows hosted by Leonor Corrêa and Leão Lobo. In 2006, she began hosting the variety show Bom Demais on Rede Record Rio. She also acted in four feature films, including Xuxa Requebra (1999) and Xuxa Popstar (2000), and starred in two short subjects, one of which, A incrível história da mulher que mudou de cor, came out in 2004. In September 2004, she appeared on the cover of the Brazilian adult magazine Sexy, one of the few Black women to do so. In 2009, she joined the cast of A Fazenda 2 on Rede Record but was eliminated in the third week.
